It has taken a loooooong time. This project has stuck with me like an unshakable infection. Well, that’s not fair, the project is great, fantastic even. But the incompletion of this project has stuck with me.
And now I am rid of that incompletion.

I know what it’s like to be someone else.
You see, I’m mentally ill, as they say. Fortunately for me, my illness is quite treatable. So treatable, in fact, I know what it’s like to be a different person.
It all started about a year ago. I was giving a talk in church about focusing on what’s important. I suck at that because I have this insatiable habit of collecting hobbies. I have, at one time or another, obsessed over ballroom dancing, woodworking, photography, web design, cabin building, blacksmithing, primitive bow making, permaculture design, and, of course, novel writing. (This is a very condensed list of hobbies, mind you).

Yes, I’m still here.
Why haven’t I blogged?
Well, the truth is I’m not blogging because I’ve found happiness.
I began this blog in September 2014. Why? Because I was miserable. I was working at a good job that wasn’t my dream job. And I’m not one who can find contentment without perfection. (That is, after all, why I married perfection herself). Read more »
